Dyspraxia

DyspraxiaOf all the related conditions, dyspraxia can be one of the easiest to correct.

Symptoms of dyspraxia can manifest themselves as poor co–ordination and posture, clumsiness, left/right confusion, problems with reading, handwriting, difficulty in understanding what is being said, a speech impairment and posture. Someone with dyspraxia has their natural centre of balance located in an unfavourable place.

All Davis programmes teach a technique allowing the student to become perfectly orientated or aligned, thereby bringing the natural centre of balance back to where it should be. This together with exercises designed to improve balance and posture, are a way of resolving the underlying issues which cause dyspraxic tendencies.

It is thought that dyspraxia affects between 2 – 4% of the population and can also be accompanied by dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia or ADD/ADHD.
